I wanted to share my wonderful experience with Rob Meredith at Avalon. He could not have been more helpful in guiding me through selections for my project, ordering samples, and keeping lines of communication open. He made the process enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I will surely come back to him on my next project!

When getting flooring and bathing/kitchen tile needs, we alway choose Avalon flooring. They are always very helpful. Our saleman Rob Meredith was great and very helpful. And the staff is kind. We will always try to use Avalon over the big box stores.

An excellent experience, from sales to installation, with one notable exception of a challenging project manager. We had an excellent experience in-store. We were fortunate enough to get Tyler Wait as our sales rep. Typically, when it comes to buying anything nowadays, sales people can be pushy, overbearing, and exhausting. This was not the case with Tyler. He answered all of our questions, gave us valuable information, and most importantly, just let us make our own decisions. What more could you ask for? Not to mention, I'm pretty sure he concocted an estimate on the fly, and absolutely nailed the price. Extremely impressive. We were assigned a project manager who made the experience a little nerve wracking. At the time we had the in-house estimate done, there was asbestos floor that still needed to be removed. The project manager asked us to call her back once that was done to have her review the health of the underlying concrete, and see if any additional work needed to be done. She stopped by the second time, and scoped it out. There was definitely some spots that needed love, and the cost of the project was going to go up because of that. No objections from us. We wanted it done right, so whatever was recommended for the health of the new tile floor, we were willing to accept. Unfortunately, near the date of installation, we could not get a hold of the manager to make sure all the changes were finalized before work was to be done. It came to the weekend before the installation date before we could get an answer. We called the installation team on the Friday before, and they didn't have any information regarding these changes. We were anxious that the project may be delayed, causing us to push back other contractors coming in. However, internally they were able to get a hold of her on the weekend, to ensure the job was scoped properly, and it was known among the installation team what was needed to be done. And that brings us to the installation team; Wow. We've had a lot of people come do jobs throughout the flood recovery process. You would get windows of arrival spanning several hours, and days where people wouldn't know up until noon. Which, I totally understand. I'm not the only job being worked on. But, wow. These guys were amazing. Every morning at 7:30, they were here. On the dot. They worked tirelessly until 4:30, I'm not even sure if they ate lunch. Multiple times, I saw them re-set tiles because they didn't like the way they were set. True professionalism and craftsmanship. The only one who's name I got was Roney. I think he was their Foreman. If you see his name on your job, you've got nothing to worry about. There were some tricky spots, which he asked us to come down and look at with him, explaining what he would do, asking what we wanted, and never objecting to our opinions. While the floor looks amazing, it's the little details like thresholds, corners, and tough angles that really finish the floor, and I'm so happy with what they gave us. Additionally, Roney and his team cleaned up to the point where you wouldn't even know they were there. They washed the entire floor, and cleaned up my backyard to the point where I think it looked better after they left, than before they were there. We've been relying on Google Translate to speak with many of the wonderful crews during the process, and if you're doing the same, and you're lucky enough to get Roney's team, Portuguese is their native tongue. Not Spanish! I felt like a fool when I assumed it was Spanish... Overall, a great experience. Would use this same team again tomorrow.
