Karastan’s Villa Veneto Wins In Atlanta

January 25, 2008 - Karastan was a proud participant in Lexus Hybrid Living’s Project GreenHouse, an eco-design concept presented to invited guests during the Sundance Film Festival held January 17-27 in Park City, Utah. The venue was a 2,000 square-foot restaurant which was transformed into a green oasis where celebrities and other talents escaped the cold and chaotic Main Street atmosphere.

By using dozens of meticulously placed colors, in both horizontal and vertical ‘stria’, we achieved a look that is beautifully distressed without altering the renowned durability and quality of Karastan’s Axminster construction.”

Retailers visiting Karastan’s showroom during the Atlanta Rug market were extremely impressed with Villa Veneto’s handmade appearance and Karastan’s amazing use of color. Villa Veneto, which was inspired by a hand-knotted Sultanabad design, is designed in shades reminiscent of the weathered walls of Italian villas. An elegant palette of terra cotta, amber and peacock blue is combined with sumptuous, fully worsted New Zealand wool to provide the ultimate statement in relaxed luxury. Karastan offers Villa Veneto in 5.9 x 9, 8.8 x 10 and 8.8 x 12 sizes with an estimated retail of $1,299 for a 5.9 x 9.
