Every year at the January Rug Market in Atlanta, Georgia, AmericasMart hosts the America’s Magnificent Carpet Awards, often referred to as the "Academy Awards of the Area Rug Industry". It is here that the latest and greatest designs are judged, with honors bestowed during a lavish celebration attended by a capacity crowd of more than 1,300 retailers.

Karastan, in addition to winning a Visual Display Award for its spectacular showroom, also walked away with "Best of Category" for Tiana from the Shapura Collection of Wilton woven rugs. Judges commented on Tiana’s "elegance", "modulation of color" and "broad appeal", noting it as the "perfect rug for formal and casual settings".

Architectural Digest, the exclusive sponsor of the America’s Magnificent Carpet Awards, will recognize Karastan for its achievement on its Website and in the Datebook section of its May issue.
