"Decorating From the Floor Up" LIVE! with Thom Filicia

Heralded for his innovative decorating magic on the hit show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and on his new Style Network series, “Dress My Nest”, Thom Filicia is an acclaimed interior designer to the stars, widely recognized as one of the leading tastemakers in the design world today.

Thom teamed with Karastan and Wear-dated Carpet Fiber to host a series of exclusive, entertaining, and interactive seminars that celebrate the art of stylish living. Using Karastan’s Shapura Tiana and Plum Blossom rugs, Thom enthusiastically demonstrated how to “Decorate from the Floor Up”. Audience members were invited on-stage to help create what Thom terms as “timeless” and “timely” interiors. The finished decors were virtually presented on a large screen and the rugs were replaced with broadlooms, like Karastan’s French Check and Brucemore, to show how easily the floor can be used to change the look and mood of an interior setting.

Thom closed the seminar with a Q&A session, giving audience members the opportunity to solve personal decorating dilemmas. After the event, Thom answered more questions, signed autographs, and posed for photos with those attending the meet-and-greet reception. A drawing was held for a 6 x 9 Karastan rug, personally signed by Thom Filicia.
